During the conversation that took place today, November 12, in particular, the issue of the migration crisis on the Polish-Belarusian border was discussed.

Denis Monastyrsky assured the Minister of Internal Affairs of Poland of solidarity and support of the Polish government's position on the aggravation of the situation on the Polish-Belarusian border.

“Ukraine supports Poland in this difficult time and hopes that it will be able to reach a solution to the artificially inspired crisis in a peaceful and civilized way,” said the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine.

A coordination group of border officers and national guards will begin its work on the Ukrainian-Polish border section tomorrow. Its activities will consist of the exchange of operational and intelligence data, as well as experience on the response of Polish border guards, familiarization with the tactics of actions of migrants and the forces coordinating them. During the migration crisis, the interior ministers of Ukraine and Poland will hold weekly telephone meetings.

“We are ready to promptly consider any request from the Polish side for assistance in resolving the current situation,” said Denis Monastyrski.

The Head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine initiated meetings of the Ministers of Foreign and Internal Affairs on the platform of the “Lublin Triangle” in order to coordinate actions to effectively confront the challenges of a hybrid nature from the unfriendly states — the Russian Federation and Belarus.

The parties also discussed the issues of cooperation in law enforcement, in particular the intensification of work on the draft agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the Government of the Republic of Poland on cooperation in the fight against crime.

Polish Interior Minister Mariusz Kaminsky, at the address of Denis Monastyrsky, assured that Ukraine will remain in the “green zone” of trips.

Recall that in Ukraine there are 10 areas of possible approach of migrants from Belarus.
