Four years of defense: fighters of special purpose police company marked in Donetsk region
On the occasion of the fourth anniversary of the creation of the unit, the chief of police of Donetsk region Ruslan Osipenko awarded the best fighters of the special purpose company. Since the beginning of the year, more than 400 offenses have been detected and stopped with the participation of law enforcement officers.
The Special Purpose Police Company was founded on December 4, 2017. The unit's fighters take part in the detection of high-profile crimes, detain criminals both on land and on the water, protect public order during mass events.
The head of the GUNP in Donetsk region Ruslan Osipenko noted that he knows the history of the creation of the unit and respects the fighters who decided to serve and protect. The head of the police congratulated the special officers and awarded the best with thanks.
“Every day you oppose criminal and administrative offenses to protect our citizens, respond promptly and stop crimes in the field of drug trafficking. I expect that honest and responsible fighters will continue to serve in your ranks, because the residents trust us with the most valuable thing — their lives,” Ruslan Osipenko said.
A valuable gift was awarded to the commander of the special purpose police company of the GUNP in Donetsk region Vadim Motov and his deputy Vitaly Sarkisov.
“Our unit serves on the contact line, performs tasks in the detection of particularly dangerous crimes. Today, the fighters also did not stay away from the crime in the field of illegal drug trafficking and detained the next dealer. I wish my colleagues successful operations, safe service and reliable comrades,” Vadim Motov congratulated those present.
Police officers who gave 10, 15 and 20 years of life to the service were also noted. Thus, Ruslan Osipenko awarded medals “For 20 years of service” to the commander of the No. 3 platoon of the RPOP police lieutenant colonel Vladimir Zhuravlev and the policeman of his platoon Fedor Rudy.
The soldiers of the company were congratulated by the head of the special unit KORD Anton Leikin and the vice-rector of the DonDUVS Ruslan Vradii.
Today, 62 police officers serve in the mouth, among them two women. Fighters train and work on a par with men.
The special police company accounts for more than 400 arrests of offenders and the termination of 280 administrative offenses.
Rota works effectively in the direction of combating drug trafficking. During 2021, police detected and documented 368 crimes related to illegal drug trafficking. In Mariupol, a drug dealer who did not have time to sell his goods was exposed on the “hot one”. The woman had the alpha salt bookmarks removed. Just on the street, law enforcement officers detained a new man with amphetamine.
Also, the fighters provide force support when detaining dealers. A group of drug dealers, whose monthly profits reached a quarter of a million hryvnias, were detained in September this year.
The mouth acts not only on land, but also in the water, where it fights poaching activity. In almost a year, special forces have exposed 66 poachers who caused damage to nature for 9.5 million hryvnias.
In October, at a reservoir in the Bukhmut district, law enforcement officers exposed two men who illegally caught fish on a boat using a shell of artisanal production, which is prohibited. The total length of the fishing gear reached 50 meters. The material damage that poachers caused to the natural environment amounted to 5,000,000 hryvnias.
