Combat power “Azov”: the tank platoon of the regiment took part in large-scale all-military exercises on the Azov coast
Today, September 9, large-scale military exercises were held at the military training ground near Berdyansk to exchange experience in the use of tank units. During the maneuver, the tank platoon of a separate special purpose detachment “Azov” 12 of the operational brigade named after. D. Vyshnevetsky (army 3057) of the Eastern ATO NGU worked out the anti-landing defense of the sea coast.
According to the scenario, a conditional enemy is detected in our territorial waters, so the unit's three tank crews advance towards the sea coast, where frontal fire destroys surface targets on the move. Such shooting has its own characteristics: the excitement of the water surface, the vibrations and speed of movement of the floats, the direction and speed of the wind are taken into account. The soldiers of the Azov regiment showed a high result, accurately hitting all targets, and once again proved that neither on land nor at sea the enemy has a chance of victory.
The commander of the Joint Forces Operation, Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, noted the importance of such exercises and congratulated all crews on the successful completion of the maneuvers.
“We constantly interact with all the law enforcement agencies involved in the operation of the PLO. He was impressed by the skill of the tank platoon of the regiment “Azov”, which showed that it can perform combat tasks on a par with the units of the Armed Forces. We are constantly working on joint operations and plan to continue this in the future,” Oleksandr Pavlyuk said.
For diligence, reasonable initiative and conscientious performance of service and combat tasks in the area of the Joint Forces Operation and on the occasion of the Tanker Day, some fighters of the Azov special unit were honored during the ceremony. From the hands of Lieutenant General Oleksandr Pavlyuk, the soldiers received the insignia of the commander of the “Cossack Cross” of the II and III degrees, the award “For valor and loyalty” and diplomas.
Recognition of the skill and professionalism of Azov fighters at the highest level motivates to new achievements in the defense of Ukraine and on the way to our joint victory.
