SNS fighters improve their skills during tactical and special exercises
Tactical and special training, training and practical classes with the population occupy an important place in the activities of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine. In addition to helping firefighters improve their own professional skills, such activities also allow them to work out joint actions together with other emergency services and facility workers in the event of an emergency or situation.
Thus, on April 27, special object exercises on civil protection were held in Dnipro on the basis of LLC “Frost”, during which the elimination of a possible emergency situation at a chemical-hazardous facility was worked out. According to the tactical plan, as a result of depressurization of the column of direct action of the linear receiver, an emergency situation occurred with the release of ammonia. Automated system for early detection of ammonia leaks and alert personnel about an emergency situation has worked. In connection with the occurrence of the emergency situation, the management of the enterprise and emergency services were notified. The units that arrived at the imaginary emergency carried out by force and means the work of depositing the ammonia cloud and imposing a bandage on the place of its release. After the exercises, the employees of the complex familiarized the personnel of the rescue service with technological equipment for the use of ammonia and summed up the results of the training.
At the same time, in the Industrial District of Kharkiv, rescuers conducted tactical and special training on extinguishing a conditional fire on the territory of the industrial and storage base of petroleum products. The main purpose of the exercises was to check the actions of the facility administration during the occurrence of an emergency situation, as well as to work out by personnel actions for carrying out emergency and rescue work and extinguishing complex fires. According to the tactical plan, a conditional fire occurred in a tank with gasoline. As a result of the explosion, deformation of the roof of the tank occurred. There was a threat of gasoline spillage over the entire area of the collapse and the occurrence of ignition of other tanks that are within the scope of the collapse. Upon discovering the fire, the staff immediately notified the rescue service. Rescuers immediately came to the call. An operational deployment was carried out, tankers were placed on fire hydrants and a foam attack was carried out on the “engulfed in fire” tank. All participants of the exercises coped with the tasks.
In turn, in the Nikolaev area, rescuers and foresters of Bratsk, Veselinovsky and Novooda districts worked out actions to eliminate forest fire extinguishing. Firefighters honed their skills with the use of fire and special equipment. Emergency responders and forestry workers managed to show coherence of actions and readiness to respond to challenges.
And in Ivano-Frankivsk region, fire fighters of Nadvirna region and forest defenders trained to extinguish fires in forest areas with the use of portable equipment, engineering equipment and special fire equipment on the territory of the nature reserve “GORGANY”. According to the idea of the exercises, as a result of the patrol of the raid group, a dry grass fire was detected with the danger of further spreading into the forest area. After concentrating the necessary forces and means, joint efforts managed to eliminate the fire. The tasks that were assigned to the fire and rescue units were completed in full. Such cooperation is the key to the timely elimination of fire with minimal losses for nature and forestry.
Tactical and special training, training, practical classes with the population will continue throughout the country, because they allow not only to work out an algorithm of actions in the event of an emergency, to verify the reliability of rescue equipment, but also allow citizens to demonstrate the necessary actions in the event of a particular danger situation.
