Arsen Avakov held a meeting with the head of the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine

Today, July 2, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine met with the head of the EU Advisory Mission to Ukraine Antti Hartikainen.

The Minister congratulated Antti Hartikainen on the extension and extension of the mandate of the ECSC Mission to Ukraine, and thanked him for his constant assistance in the implementation of the European integration aspirations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in particular for the large-scale support in the implementation of joint projects.

During the meeting, Arsen Avakov informed about the priorities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the near future, in particular in the context of the implementation of the “LAW” project and the introduction of an automated electronic custody records system in all territorial units of the police.

The Minister also stressed the need to include all components of the civil security sector in cooperation with the ECSC, in particular the National Guard and the State Migration Service, since the purpose of the ECHR is to provide strategic advice on reforming the civil security sector and bringing it to European standards.

“The EU advisory mission was and remains our strategic partner,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs noted.

In turn, the Head of the Consultative Mission of the European Union to Ukraine Antti Hartikainen thanked Arsen Avakov for supporting European integration aspirations.
