Aeromedevac of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Ministry of Health: Denis Monastyrsky got acquainted with the possibilities of the Ukrainian enterprise in Zaporizhzhia
Today, on November 2, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky, within the framework of a working visit to Zaporizhia, visited PJSC “Motor-Sich”, where he got acquainted with the potential of the plant in the production of helicopters for the Unified Aeromedical Space project.
“To date, the project has already proved its effectiveness, importance and necessity. In October alone, 23 rescue missions were carried out in the Lviv region. These are the cases when speed played a decisive role in a difficult situation and saved people's lives,” said Denis Monastyrsky.
Aeromedical evacuation is currently operating in the western region with a helicopter base in Lviv and in the Kiev region with a base in Kiev. In order to scale the project to the entire territory of Ukraine, it is necessary to purchase additional helicopters. That is why the Ministry of Internal Affairs is studying the possibilities and proposals of the Motor-Sich plant for the production in Ukraine of Mi-2 MSB-1 helicopters and their use together with the French Airbus H-145 of the National Police for the development of the Aeromedical Evacuation System.
According to the director of Motor Sichi Vyacheslav Boguslayev, Mi-2 MSB-1 helicopters are light multi-purpose helicopters with two Ai-450M-B engines, created by modifying the Mi-2 helicopter, and equipped with medical equipment.
Such a sanitary helicopter already carries out aeromedical evacuation of people in critical condition in Zaporozhye on the basis of public-private partnership.
