Vadim Troyan: The perpetrators of the crime in Uman face up to 8 years of imprisonment

The actions of the intruders, who desecrated the burial complex of tzadik Nachman in Uman in the early morning hours of December 21, are qualified as "Violations of citizens' equality based on race, ethnicity or religion" – according to the Criminal Code of Ukraine, Article 161, Part 3, which implies the sentence of imprisonment up to 8 years. Vadim Troyan, the acting head of the National Police of Ukraine announced this today, the 21 st of December.

"The General Directorate of the National Police in Cherkasy region established a specialized investigative team, which includes experienced and competent staff for the speedy investigation of the crime. The incident is being investigated at a crime scene. All the circumstances and witnesses of the criminal are being established", - said the Acting Head of the National Police.

As a reminder, on October 16, 2016 in Zhytomyr, the Police solved the case of an armed attack on a rabbi and citizen of Israel.
