UAH 42 million in damages during the nationwide land assessment — the National Police reported the suspicion of the exporters of two state institutions
Operatives of the Strategic Investigations Department and investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine have exposed the activities of officials of research institutes and received evidence of their involvement in crimes. The defendants are accused of official forgery and embezzlement of other people's property on a particularly large scale, committed by the group persons.
As the police established, these state institutions conducted a nationwide monetary assessment of agricultural land for budgetary funds. As a result of the actions of officials, the state suffered losses in the amount of about UAH 42 million.
On September 17, the former heads of two research institutes were informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 Part 2 of Article 366 (official forgery) and Part 5 of Article 191 (misappropriation of someone else's property in a particularly large amount committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Procedural Guidance in Crimes the proceedings are carried out by the Office of the Prosecutor General. The pre-trial investigation is ongoing.
