1,700 autumn draft officers will become border guards
According to the Decree No. 71 of the President of Ukraine, the next conscription of Ukrainian citizens for military service will take place in October-December. On September 29, 2021, the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine issued Decree No. 1178-r “On approval of the number of citizens subject to conscription for conscription, the amount of expenses for conscription in October-December 2021”.
During October-December 2021, 1700 people from 23 regions of Ukraine and the city should be called to the ranks of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Kiev. Of these, 40 men will be selected for service in the Maritime Guard of the State Border Service.
Young recruits will be accepted at departmental training centers in Cherkasy region (Main center for training personnel of the State Border Guard Service named after Major General Igor Momot, 1110 people are planned), in Lviv region (Kennel Training Center, located in the city. Velyki Mosty, 550 people are planned) and in the Odessa region (Training Center of the Maritime Guard, located in Izmail, 40 strakoviki).
The first teams (22 soldiers) will arrive at the border training centers already on October 6 from the Poltava and Zhytomyr regions.
Recall that men who are fit for military service for health reasons, citizens of Ukraine who turned 18 before the date of departure to the military units and older citizens who have not reached the age of 27 and are not entitled to release or delay from conscription are subject to conscription.
Young people who received a master's degree before conscription will serve up to 12 months, others - up to 18 months.
We also note that servicemen of military service will not be involved in the service in the Joint Forces.
Before being assigned to the Border Guard units, recruits will undergo initial training, which will last from one to three months, depending on the specialty. Servicemen of military service will learn frontier disciplines, advanced experience, improve physical skills, undergo fire and tactical training.
We will note that along with the conscription, the dismissal of conscript servicemen who have served the established terms will begin.
