Destroyed an anti-aircraft missile complex, exposed a human trafficking channel and a carrier of military servicemen abroad: how the day passed for border guards
Border guards and air intelligence officers detected the position of the Russian occupiers with the operator of the anti-aircraft missile complex. Adjusting the FPV drone, the defenders destroyed the firing point and several occupiers.
Meanwhile, in the Odessa region, law enforcement officers exposed a human trafficking channel. A 36-year-old Odessa resident who recruited and transported women abroad was declared a suspect.
The criminal scheme was blocked during an attempt to transfer four girls abroad. At first they tried to take them by regular bus to Moldova, and then by plane to Italy. The man found potential “victims” by deception through acquaintances under the pretext of employment for a high-paying job abroad. During a meeting with the girls, he promised $300 per hour, half of which they were to give to him. In addition, the man took over the execution of the necessary documents for traveling abroad.
The facts of recruitment of women in order to involve them in the provision of intimate services are documented by the operatives. Currently, the person involved in the criminal scheme has been detained and reported on suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 149 “Trafficking in Persons” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention with the possibility of applying bail.
And the border guards of the Chopsky detachment eliminated the channel of illegal transportation of persons of conscription age across the Ukrainian-Hungarian border. The transporters repeatedly organized illegal activities on various sections of the state border within the Transcarpathian region.
Law enforcement officials established that the 63-year-old Transcarpathian met a future “client” in the city of Uzhgorod and offered to send him to Hungary for a monetary reward of 3500 dollars. At the direction of the forwarder, the man got to the city of Beregovo on his own, and from there he was taken by car to his apartment in the village of Vilok. The house was located a few hundred meters from the river section of the border. At the right moment, the “client” had to swim across the pond. At the same time, he was promised to send the goods to Hungary, where he had to pay the rest of the amount.
The carrier and the “ward” were detained during the transfer of the first part of the funds in the amount of 1500 dollars. Together with them, they detained an assistant who provided the swimmer with a wetsuit. The organizer of the illegal scheme was detained in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Currently, he has been charged with committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 3 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code “Illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine”. Investigative actions are ongoing.
In total, on February 11, 65 thousand people and 15 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
31 thousand people left Ukraine. 19 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
34 thousand people followed to Ukraine, 30 thousand of them - citizens of Ukraine.
