In 9 months, the police processed more than six million appeals from citizens — Igor Klymenko
This was announced by the Head of the National Police of Ukraine, today, November 24, summing up the results of the police's work during 9 months of full-scale Russian invasion.
“For 9 months we have been fighting and not losing momentum. Everyone in his place does everything possible and impossible for the sake of Victory,” Ihor Klymenko stressed.
According to the head of the department, the National Police of Ukraine continues to guard law order and security of citizens around the clock.
During this time, the police recorded about 237 thousand crimes. In almost 114,000 criminal offenses, persons have been notified of suspicion.
In addition, 45,190 criminal proceedings have been initiated on the facts of crimes committed by Russian servicemen and their accomplices. On average, the police alone recorded 165 war crimes per day.
Among this number of crimes — more than 2 thousand criminal proceedings were opened for collaborative activities. 347 persons were declared suspects, 206 indictments were transferred to the courts.
Also, Igor Klymenko reported that the police documented more than 58 thousand property crimes, of which more than 56 thousand were thefts. Nearly 14,000 persons suspected of committing these crimes have been identified.
The head of the National Police summed up the results of the search work:
“During checks at checkpoints, 705 wanted persons and almost 5 thousand suspicious persons were identified, probably involved in illegal activities. As well as 2.6 thousand vehicles that were wanted. Found 7718 missing children. 323 children are still being sought. In total, 440 children were killed and 847 injured as a result of shelling and fighting.
Igor Klymenko stressed the importance of the work of the explosives units on the demining of the de-occupied territories:
“We examined more than 14.8 thousand hectares of territory within the scope of demining activities. Almost 147,000 ammunition and more than 4.4 tons of explosives were seized. Our explosives destroyed 48,000 explosive objects.”
Also, the head of the National Police spoke about a decrease in the number of accidents on the roads by 1.8 times and by 17% deaths on the roads. At the same time, more than 85.8 thousand were registered. Accident, 2,161 people died as a result of car accidents.
During a full-scale war, the police actively counteract the information attacks of the enemy. “We blocked more than 20 thousand hostile information channels with a total audience of more than 260 million subscribers,” Igor Klymenko said.
