“Potentially dangerous territories of our state remain 175 thousand square kilometers, which is about a third of the territory of Ukraine. But this figure is dynamic and, together with Russian shelling, can change. Now the main forces of pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service and explosives technicians of the National Police work mainly in Kharkiv region. More than 10 hectares were examined there in a day and about a thousand explosive objects were discovered. In total, since September 8, almost 1.5 thousand hectares have been demined by our units and more than 38 thousand explosive objects have been neutralized in Kharkiv region alone. If we talk about the entire territory of Ukraine, since the beginning of the invasion, more than 270 thousand units of explosive objects have been detected, seized and defused,” Yevhenii Yenin said.
