Since the beginning of summer, 24 people have died in the waters of Ukraine

According to operational data, seven people died in water bodies of Ukraine in the past day alone, including one child. Since the beginning of summer, in fact, 24 people have died in a week, including four children.

The most common cause of accidents on the water is non-compliance with the rules of safe behavior by citizens. In particular, it is bathing in places not equipped for this and bathing in a drunken state.

Here are just the dry facts of yesterday's tragedies:

Kirovohrad region. Yesterday a r. Dnipro in m. Svitlovodsk was removed from the water and the body of the man was transferred to the forensic examination. The circumstances of death and the cause of death are established.

Cherkasy region. On June 7, at 13 h. 12 min. the State Emergency Service received a message that the city. A boy born in 2016 disappeared in Cherkassy during a holiday on the Dnieper. At 13 h. 40 min the child's body was found in the water near the pier. The circumstances of death and the cause of death are established.

On the same day at 16 h. 44 min. the State Emergency Service received a message that on the pond in the village. A woman born in 1992 probably drowned in Dzenzelivka, Uman district, during rest. As of June 8, the disappeared has not been found, the work will continue with the involvement of divers

Dnipropetrovsk region: June 7 at 22 h 23 min. on the river Vovcha in the village. Vasylivka, Sinelnikovsky district, rescuers removed a male body from the water and transferred to forensic examination. The circumstances of death and the cause of death are established.

Kiev region: June 7 at 15 h 18 min. on the lake in the village. Knyazhychi Brovarska TG rescuers removed the body of a man born in 1986 from the water and transferred to forensic examination. The circumstances of death and the cause of death are established.

Odessa region: June 7 at 19 h. 29 min. on the pond near the village. The body of a man born in 1991, who drowned while swimming, was removed from the water by rescuers from the water and transferred to the forensic examination.

A day earlier, the State Emergency Service received a message that the pond in s. A man who was born in 1999 fell into the water and disappeared during the holiday in the bright Odessa district.

Therefore, in order to reduce the death rates in water bodies, the specialists of the Rescue Service patrol the places of rest near the water, as well as daily carry out informational and explanatory work with citizens on compliance with the rules of safe behavior during rest. However, the most effective preventive method is the own prudence and responsibility of each citizen!

In view of the number of extraordinary events near water bodies, the State Service of Ukraine warns: in order to avoid tragedy during rest, you must always observe elementary safety rules! In particular:

• remember - you can relax and swim only on specially equipped beaches;

• never dive in unfamiliar places;

• do not leave children unattended near water and do not allow them to visit local ponds and rivers on their own;

• do not swim far away. Never swim alone, especially if you are not confident in your abilities;

• do not enter the water in a state of intoxication;

• Do not approach ships, boats and boats that sail near you;

• the water temperature should not be lower than +17° С;

• swim in the water for no more than 20 minutes, and this time should increase gradually, starting from 3 to 5 minutes;

• follow storm warnings and do not go boating in strong gusts of wind;
