“I want to continue my father's work and expel the occupiers from the territory of Ukraine as soon as possible,” — Dmitry Kazimirov, candidate for the assault brigade “Fury”
Dmitry, despite his rather young age, feels enough strength, healthy anger and inspiration to continue his father's cause and, together with thousands of other defenders, put a victorious end to this war.
Dmitry Kazimirov is a pupil of the sports preparatory and police school “Samson-Prava”. Winner of the European Championship and bronze medalist of the World Championship in hand-to-hand combat. Now the young man is studying at the third year of the National University of Biological Resources and Environmental Management of Ukraine.
On February 24 last year, when the war began, 18-year-old Dmitry from Kiev called his father and said that he wanted to join the ranks of territorial defense.
Then Yevgeny Kazimirov rejected his son and stressed that this was his war. The man, as a reserve officer, a flying navigator, came to the military enlistment office on the first day of a large-scale invasion. In a few days he and his colleagues passed all the necessary tests and began to perform combat tasks.
On March 2, his plane rose on the alert of a plane attack on the airfield, then there was an air fight in the direction of Zhytomyr. According to the villagers, the pilots saved the village of Dovbysh of Novograd-Volyn district from defeat: they took the plane into the forest - and then a missile hit the cabin. The crew died. The pilot of the military aircraft died on March 2, 2022 during an air battle in Zhytomyr region.
“I am proud of my father. I want to continue his work and expel the occupiers from the territory of Ukraine as soon as possible,” says Dmitry.
Dmitry's father, Yevgeny Kazimirov, was awarded (posthumously) the Order “For Courage” of the III degree.
