He demanded 600 thousand hryvnias from subordinates: police detained the platoon commander in Dnipro
Law enforcement officers of Dnipro detained a platoon commander of one of the battalions of the Armed Forces for extorting a bribe from subordinates. The soldier demanded illegal benefits from four of his subordinates - 150 thousand hryvnias from each.
For non-payment of a bribe, he promised to interfere with the passage of service and the subsequent accrual of funds for the performance of combat tasks.
A 49-year-old man was detained directly while receiving funds. The detainee in the office car found money - 600 thousand hryvnias. He received them as a bribe. In addition, the military's car contained two pistols, an anti-drone gun and other physical evidence. And during a search of his residence, law enforcement officers found 20 new copters, an EcoFlow charging station and cartridges.
The defendant is threatened with criminal liability under Part 3 of Art. 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of an illegal benefit by an official).
The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years, with confiscation of property.
