Information on the objective picture of losses of the army of the Russian Federation, illegal armed formations, so-called “DPR” and “LPR”, private military companies that participated in the armed aggression against Ukraine, are now available on the web resource “Poter.net” (https://poternet.site/).

The Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko announced this on the air of the national tele-marathon “United News” on April 18.

“The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine together with the National Police of Ukraine started collecting information about war criminals who committed crimes on the territory of Ukraine. Information was established about more than 56 thousand citizens of Russia, as well as representatives of the so-called. “DPR” and “LPR”, who entered the territory of Ukraine with weapons in their hands and died here, - he said. “Among the identified dead are also representatives of private military companies and other military formations that entered the territory of Ukraine.”

The idea of the project arose after the Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation in September last year announced the loss of Russia in the amount of 5,937 people, however, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the losses of the occupiers by that time amounted to more than 50 thousand people.

“Data began to be collected from open sources, - Leonid Tymchenko noted. - Volunteer organizations, telegram channels are also actively engaged in this activity, an objective picture of losses is covered in the media and social networks. Therefore, it was decided to collect this information in one place in order to be able to verify the real losses of the enemy that exist today.”

As of today, the website, which is accessible to everyone, contains information about 56 827 representatives of Russia who died on the territory of Ukraine. The site contains the following data of the deceased: surname, first name, patronymic, place and date of death, as well as a photo (if available).

Visitors to the site, in particular from the territory of Russia, also have the opportunity to check whether the data of their relatives or relatives are contained in the database of persons killed in Ukraine. In addition, you can check information about a particular person using the Telegram-bot Poter.net (https://t.me/poter_nety_bot) by entering the data of the deceased.

“We collect information from open sources — from obituaries, from the media, on social networks, in memory groups that Russians start on their social networks. Such information is processed by analysts of the National Police, as well as cadets of the National Academy of Internal Affairs and Kharkiv National University of Internal Affairs, - says the Deputy Minister. - The database is constantly being refined, information is received daily. Our desire is to obtain information about each person killed and bring the number of identified persons to the number of enemy casualties reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces.”

Also, Leonid Tymchenko noted that every non-indifferent citizen of Ukraine can participate in filling the base. To do this, you need to go to the site and send to the specified e-mail box information about the known data of the deceased enemy. “The information will be verified, and if confirmed, it will complement our database,” he said.
