In the northern regions of Ukraine, joint exercises “Northern Storm” continue
In one of the sections of the border, as part of the exercise, the Ukrainian Defense Forces once again worked out the procedure in case of aggravation of the situation.
The reserves of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine were the first to move towards the state border, and soon — the Armed Forces and the National Guard. Fighters and technicians practiced interaction during the transition to defense, actions to block a designated area to prevent the advance of the aggressor's troops, detection of saboteurs, correctors, and other enemy elements. Participants of the exercises were trained to perform tasks together, both at positions and checkpoints that were equipped in advance, and to occupy defenses, deploy control posts in a designated area.
“All units must be one strong fist so that our state remains our state, strengthens, repels any aggressor, wherever he comes from,” said Deputy Head of the Border Detachment Colonel Oleksandr Sereda. He noted that given the events of February 24 at the site of the Chernihiv detachment, this is especially true for the border with Belarus.
Many fighters have combat experience since 2014, says the border guard with the nickname “Thunder”. And in case of aggravation, the fighters in this area do not need time to roll up.
“We are always here, we are constantly ready to defend our land,” says Thunder.
