In Odessa, law enforcement officers reported a suspicion to a corrector who pointed Russian missiles at infrastructure facilities
As the police established, a 41-year-old local resident, supporting the actions of the aggressor country on the territory of Ukraine, helped the Russian army to direct missiles at infrastructure facilities. Coordinates regarding their location, as well as information about the accuracy of the hit, he sent in the messenger.
During the investigation, the operatives of the Directorate of Strategic Investigations in the Odessa region, the investigators of the SBU sub-committee under the procedural leadership of the Odessa Regional Prosecutor's Office established the involvement of the defendant in directing and adjusting fire on one of the objects.
On the basis of the evidence received, the attacker was informed of the suspicion under Part 1 of Art. 111-2 (Assistance to the State of the Aggressor) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Also, law enforcement officers conducted sanctioned searches and seized “rough” records and computer equipment. The suspect is given a preventive measure in the form of detention.
For aiding an aggressor state, the law provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for a term of ten to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of ten to fifteen years and with or without confiscation of property.
