Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, together with Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine Olga Stefanishina and Government Commissioner for Gender Policy Kateryna Levchenko opened the Center for Assistance to the Rescued, established with the support of the UN Population Fund in Ukraine - UNFPA Ukraine.

“This is the first such service in Ukraine, where people who have left the active combat zone can get all the necessary assistance in one place. The Center will provide free and confidential psychological, legal and medical care to victims of war. Anyone who needs help can contact the Center,” said Kateryna Pavlichenko.

As noted by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine, in Zaporizhzhia investigators of the National Police of Ukraine have already opened more than 3,000 criminal cases on the facts of war crimes of the Russian Federation, among them there are sexual crimes.

“That is why our specialized police mobile team begins work in the region, which will detect sexual crimes committed by Russian occupiers against civilians. Similar groups work in Kyiv region, Sumy region and Chernihiv region. Victims of such crimes will be able to receive free and confidential assistance at the Center on a long-term basis,” added Ekaterina Pavlichenko.
