In the system of video monitoring of the state of public security, uniform technical and functional requirements for video surveillance will be introduced
This was emphasized by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Leonid Tymchenko during the inclusion of the “United News” telethon on the air.
“First of all, I want to note that the video surveillance system has already been implemented and is in operation. And the draft law, registered in the Verkhovna Rada, is designed to create and implement unified technical and functional requirements for the construction of video surveillance and video monitoring systems. In addition, it is intended to ensure uniform rules for the exchange of information between all entities that will have access to said systems and information. Control over access to such information will also be regulated,” the Deputy Minister said.
Leonid Tymchenko noted that the draft law “On the Unified System of Video Monitoring of the State of Public Security” will make it impossible to use video surveillance cameras in cities with the software product of the aggressor country and regulate the technical requirements:
“This bill is what was missing for the process to be normalized, and the order to be uniform for all those who use video surveillance cameras not only to capture, but also to further use such information.”
