The training is organised with the assistance of the Consultative Mission of the European Union. Police officers will improve their communication skills with people affected by violence.

Employees of units “102" daily receive on average more than 20 thousand reports from citizens about offenses or events. Quite often, the work of police officers is not limited to the prompt and high-quality registration of a message from the victim. Operators and dispatchers communicate with people affected by different types of violence.

Therefore, in Kyiv, on the basis of the office of the Consultative Mission of the European Union for police officers, training with the involvement of specialists in the field of psychology was organized.

Over the course of two days, 40 “102” operators and police dispatchers will develop skills in effective communication and quality service for applicants who have suffered violence during the full-scale Russian invasion. In addition, police officers receive the necessary knowledge on how to avoid professional burnout.

Anamaria Fuduli, Head of the Human Resources Reform Development Department of the KMES for Reforming the Civil Security Sector in Ukraine, noted that Russia's invasion of Ukraine caused a lot of suffering to the civilian population.

“We are aware of the load level on the 102 service. You work 24/7, do not stop working during air alarms, missile strikes. We hope that the knowledge gained will help you to effectively fulfill your duties, help people and avoid professional burnout.”
