The GSC urges Ukrainians not to buy a driver's license on the Internet
Increasingly, on the roads of drivers, patrol police officers detect fake driver's licenses. Similar cases occur in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, when drivers try to exchange or restore a driver's license. As a result of the check, it turns out that these documents are missing in the registers. Sometimes people themselves admit that they have purchased a certificate on the Internet.
Thus, according to the National Police, as of December 31, 2023, 50 people were identified who may be involved in the production of forged documents.
Fraudsters even began to use photos of employees and officials of service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs to impersonate their activities.
We remind you that for the production and use of forged documents in Ukraine there is criminal liability and punishment in the form of a fine, or restriction or imprisonment.
Therefore, we urge all citizens not to use the services of fraudsters and not to buy fake documents. Do not trust dubious sources, fake Facebook pages with photos and logos of the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The state service always has the domain “gov.ua” or a blue check mark - an account verification sign that confirms that the page is official.
The only legal way to get a driver's license is to pass a theoretical exam at the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs after self-training or training in a driving school. After that, it is necessary to undergo practical training in an accredited educational institution and successfully pass a practical exam in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
