Police dog trainers are clearing the de-occupied Kherson region from enemy ammunition. The occupiers left explosive objects and stretch marks in muddy locations. Dog breeders carefully check every meter of land and buildings with the help of trained dogs.

Police officers of the capital's canine service, along with service dogs, continue to travel on business trips to the liberated territories. There, together with the explosives, they carry out demining.

Senior dog inspector Yevgeny Sorokun and his service dog, a German shepherd named Persei, recently returned from his first combat mission in the Kherson region.

“Every day with Perseus, we found ammunition and weapons in homes, cars, fields and even household appliances. There is still much work to be done on demining, because the terrorist country has done everything possible to harm our people. In addition, the Kherson region continues to be under daily enemy shelling, which also complicates the work,” says the senior dog inspector.

Returning to Kiev, Yevgeny Sorokun constantly conducts training on finding explosive objects for his partner. In an active combat zone, service dogs are always in personal protective equipment and with individual first aid kits. All so that, in case of injury, the policemen could save their lives.
