Investigators of the Crimean police reported the suspicion of three “judges” who deported the inhabitants of the peninsula from their homes

The so-called judges of the occupation authorities made illegal decisions on the expulsion of Ukrainian citizens from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea in accordance with their political and national affiliation, in particular for their pro-Ukrainian position.

During the pre-trial investigation, law enforcement officers documented the illegal activities of three “judges” who, after the annexation of the peninsula, switched to the side of the occupier. We are talking about “judges” appointed by the occupation authorities to the positions of “Deputy Chairman of the Alushta City Court of the Republic of Crimea”, and two — to the positions of “Judge of the Evpatoria City Court of the Republic of Crimea”.

The police established that acting deliberately, contrary to the requirements of Articles 2, 47, 49 of the Convention (IV) on the Protection of Civilians during the War of August 12, 1949 (Geneva), the “judges” decided on the illegal expulsion of Ukrainian citizens from the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, which was later realized Zoned. Thus, the attackers expelled Crimeans from the peninsula who expressed a pro-Ukrainian position.

Currently, three “judges” have been informed of suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 1 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Violation of the laws and customs of war). They face punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of eight to twelve years.

Pre-trial investigation is carried out by investigators of the investigative department of the GUNP in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city. Sevastopol under the procedural guidance of the Prosecutor's Office of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and accompanied by the Main Directorate of Security Service of Ukraine in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea.
