Investigators of the National Police informed three Russian military about the suspicion of the shooting of a man and bullying of residents of Irpen
During the occupation of the city, Russian soldiers taunted the inhabitants of the city, and one of them was taken out of his apartment and shot in the street. Neighbors buried the slain man in a park near the house.
Investigators of the National Police established that in March 2022, the servicemen of the armed forces of the Russian Federation during the occupation of the city of Irpin were cruel and degrading to the local population, which did not take part in hostilities.
People were forced to hide from the troops of the Russian Federation, because the occupiers, when detecting citizens, carried out their checks. As the police established, the Russians used physical and psychological violence. The occupiers pointed automatic weapons at people, looked for tattoos or scars on their bodies, and if they found them, they immediately decided to shoot such a person.
After the de-occupation of the city of Irpin, investigators of the Main Investigation Department of the National Police established the identity of the woman who suffered from the actions of the occupiers. She reported that during the occupation, she and other local residents of the housing complex were in the basement of their house. The woman recalls how the Russian military found them and brought them out of the basement: the occupier constantly held a weapon near her head and said “goodbye to life.”
Later, the Russian servicemen began to threaten her and her son because, according to the information of the aggressors, her son seems to be in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The woman, along with other residents, begged not to kill her son along with his pregnant wife. The occupiers left them alive, but, as the woman said, they killed their neighbor.
The police found that Russian servicemen, while bypassing the residential complex, found a local resident in one of the apartments. The occupiers took him out into the street, began to check documents, the presence of tattoos or scars. At that time, the man did not have documents with him, so the occupiers shot him. Neighbors found the body the next morning and it was temporarily buried in a park near the house.
The Investigative Department of the Organization for the Investigation of Crimes Committed in the Conditions of Armed Conflict, the Main Investigative Department of the National Police, under the operational support of the employees of the Department for the Protection of Public Interest and the State of the National Police of Ukraine, established three servicemen of the assault brigade of the Russian Federation, involved in the specified crimes Nav. Documentation of the actions of the occupiers was carried out under the procedural guidance of the Office of the Prosecutor General.
On November 10, Russian servicemen were informed of suspicion of committing crimes under Art. 438 (Violation of the laws and customs of war) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for between 10 and 15 years in prison or life imprisonment.
