The situation on the western border. Mistake of the “polite” briber (VIDEO)
A man offered 1,500 euros of bribe to the border guards to leave for Poland. At the checkpoint “Ustylug” border guards of the Volyn detachment documented the fact of providing illegal benefits to travelers. In this way, the 39-year-old resident of Rivne region tried to “solve” the issue of the unimpeded crossing of the Ukrainian-Polish border.
During the implementation of border control of a citizen who allegedly carries out international cargo transportation, it was found that the man does not have the proper documents confirming the purpose of his trip abroad during the martial law regime.
With this in mind, the inspector decided to refuse to pass through the border. Realizing that this was the end of his trip, the citizen, in order to still leave Ukraine, offered a bribe of 1,500 euros to the border guard.
The inspector refused illegal benefits, and the detection of signs of a criminal offense, provided for in Art. 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine border guards informed the employees of the National Police.
During the past day, December 8, 62 thousand people and 16 thousand vehicles crossed the western borders of Ukraine with the EU and Moldova (in the Chernivtsi region).
33 thousand people leave the territory of our country. 20 thousand of them crossed the border with Poland, the rest followed to other EU countries and Moldova.
Over the past day, 29 thousand people arrived in Ukraine, 25 thousand of them are citizens of Ukraine.
80 trucks with humanitarian aid have been issued.
For the attempt to illegally cross the state border of Ukraine, 16 people were detained — 1 of them tried to cross the border illegally at the checkpoint, another 15 were detained outside the designated crossing points.
At the same time, five men, citizens of Ukraine, were not allowed to leave the country, because border guards found signs of forgery of their documents, which give the right to cross the border to persons of conscription age. In the actions of men there are signs of offenses provided for by articles 336, 358 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
We remind that the passage of adult citizens of Ukraine across the border is carried out by foreign passports or other documents provided for by legislation and international treaties, in accordance with the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of January 27, 1995. N 57.
