Almost 200,000 explosive objects have been defused by fire technicians of the State Emergency Service — Yevhenii Yenin
On the TV channel Social First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Yevhenii Yenin spoke about the pace of demining the de-occupied territories of Ukraine by the forces of the State Emergency Service.
He noted that today pyrotechnic calculations of the State Emergency Service have examined an area of about 70 thousand hectares and neutralized almost 200 thousand explosive objects.
“Humanitarian demining is a long process, because we are talking about the return of life in areas that have recently been contaminated with explosive objects. Therefore, the main thing in this matter is not speed — but quality,” Yevhenii Yenin emphasized.
The pyrotechnics of the SNS and NPU work tirelessly every day. They show good results. For example, since the beginning of the Russian invasion of Ukraine, the Kiev region has been cleared by 75%. However, the situation in the regions where the fighting is taking place is much worse. In general, the potentially dangerous territory in Ukraine due to contamination by explosive objects, as of today, is approximately 185 thousand square kilometers.
