Self-preparation for the theoretical exam is to be: what changes will happen and when
The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine considered and supported by 271 votes “for” the draft law №7354. It refers to the possibility of independently preparing for passing a theoretical exam in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
As well as on the introduction of administrative responsibility in the field of training and admission of drivers to drive vehicles.
Note that the adopted Law must go through the procedure of signing and publishing. Changes related to administrative responsibility for violation of the procedure for taking exams and training and improving the qualifications of drivers, violation of the procedure for state accreditation of educational institutions will come into force after publication, and changes related to self-training will come into force no earlier than November.
What exactly can change in passing exams in service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs?
From now on, everyone will be able to choose how to prepare for the theoretical exam in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs: independently or in a driving school.
The candidate will be able to choose how to teach the rules of the road, the basics of the structure of the vehicle and the basics of providing home care.
Now this theoretical course provides 64 hours of lectures in driving schools. And without a certificate of completion of the theoretical training course, which is issued by driving schools, driver candidates do not have the right to pass a theoretical exam in the service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
That is, soon it will be possible to independently prepare or receive a certificate of completion of a theoretical training course in an educational institution. But this does not mean that training in a driving school will not be mandatory at all. For a practical course of study, you will need to contact accredited educational institutions.
In Ukraine, there is a clear distinction between theoretical and practical driver training courses. Until the candidate in the driver has successfully passed the theoretical exam in the service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, it is impossible to begin practical training. That is, as long as there is no confirmation that a person has learned the rules of the road, then he cannot get behind the wheel, even with an instructor at an educational institution. This is a matter of safety on the roads.
