Emergency rescue workers call on Ukrainians to be careful due to mine danger
Dense vegetation and water expanses of rivers and lakes can hide explosive objects. Therefore, rescuers once again urge citizens not to neglect safety rules.
Thus, only on May 19 in the territory of Sumy region, pyrotechnics of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine discovered and seized 7 explosive objects, of which 6 were destroyed.
Among the dangerous finds were 3 artillery shells, 2 hand grenades, a grenade launcher and a cassette block from a projectile volley fire system. These munitions were found on the territory of Akhtyrsky, Konotop and Sumy districts, including on a water body.
Rescuers warn citizens to be attentive and careful! Do not neglect warnings and signs of mine danger. And in case of detection of explosive and other suspicious objects, do not approach them, especially do not touch, do not try to move or disassemble.
Use of nearby means of communication is prohibited. It is necessary to move to a safe distance, the way in which we came at least 100 meters.
It is necessary to warn others about the possible danger and call the operational services at the numbers “101” or “102”.
