They held illegal elections and voluntarily agreed to cooperate with the occupiers: four collaborators were exposed
Law enforcement officers of the Kherson region have exposed three local residents who participated in illegal elections. Women took direct part in organizing and holding illegal elections of deputies to the state bodies of the aggressor country - the so-called “Kherson Regional Duma I convocation” and local “councils of deputies”.
In particular, a 43-year-old resident of Kalanchak in the spring of last year voluntarily agreed to her appointment as the head of the so-called “Chaplin territorial election commission” of the Chaplin municipal district of Kherson region. During April-September, she organized the appropriate preparation and holding of illegal elections.
The “Holopristan Territorial Election Commission” of the Holopristan municipal district of the Kherson region was headed by a 35-year-old resident of Staraya Zburyivka. As an “official”, she also participated in the first session of the illegally created “Council of Deputies of Holopristan Municipal District of Kherson Oblast I convocation”. There, the suspect handed a “certificate” to deputies elected according to the results of illegal elections.
A 50-year-old resident of Malokahovka in September last year voluntarily participated in illegal elections in the territory of Kakhovka and Malokahovka. It issued applications for inclusion in the list of voters at the place of residence, ballots for voting, kept records of citizens who participated in illegal elections, called for participation in voting, and also provided explanations on the correctness of filling out the ballots.
And in Kharkiv region, a 53-year-old resident of Kupyansk district was exposed in collaborative activities. The man held a managerial position under the occupation authorities in the village of Berestovo - “acting assistant to the head of the Petropavlovsk territorial department of the temporary civil administration of the Kupyansk district”.
The man participated in the meetings of the occupation administration, organized the execution of decisions of the occupation administration on the territory of the villages and exercised control over their implementation. Received documents from local residents for submission to the occupation administration in order to receive material assistance. On behalf of the occupation administration, he provided administrative services to local residents. Collected information about the personal data of residents and monitored the state of landscaping in villages.
All four defendants were notified in absentia of suspicion of committing the crimes provided for in Part 5 of Art. 111-1 “Collaborative activities” of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Women face imprisonment for a term of 5 to 10 years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years and with or without confiscation of property.
