A border guard with the soul of a poet
Serhiy has been serving his homeland for more than 20 years as part of the State Border Service of Ukraine. After graduating from the National Academy of DPSU, he served in many departments of the Northern, Eastern and Southern regional administrations.
Sergey is a creative person. Many know him by the nickname “Poet”. He already has a collection of poems in print and does not stop there, continuing to produce dozens of poetic works. Some of them are even put to music and turned into songs. But his real talent for poetry not only does not interfere, but even helps the officer to perform his official duties perfectly.
Having experience of combat operations as part of the ATO forces, the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine “Poet” met in the Kherson region, directly on the administrative border with the Crimean Peninsula. The overwhelming forces of the enemy and the fierce fighting forced him to be extremely concentrated at all times and did not allow rest. In addition, it so happened that his family was in the temporarily occupied territory. And it was a huge test for him.
Sergey did not lose heart in the face of difficulties, motivated the subordinate staff and continued to fight. At the same time, the Poet's family was sent to a safe place, so he met his beloved wife and children at the first opportunity.
Sergey himself says that his dream is a peaceful, integral and independent Ukraine. And also — to release a collection of poems about children, not about war and enemies who attacked our land.
