Law enforcers reported on suspicion of one of the commanders of the special unit “Akhmat” for war crimes in Kyiv region

According to the materials of the Department for the Protection of Public and State Interests of the National Police of Ukraine, under the procedural guidance of prosecutors of the Office of the Prosecutor General, the commander of the Rapid Response Group of the Special Rapid Response Detachment “Akhmat” of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in the Chechen Republic was informed of the suspicion of the commander of the rapid response team “Akhmat” of the National Guard of the Russian Federation in the Chechen Republic in violation of the laws and customs of war stipulated by international treaties relating to premeditated murder.

The commander of the rapid response unit was informed of the suspicion of committing a criminal offense provided for in Part 2 of Art. 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The sanction of the article provides for punishment in the form of imprisonment for a term of ten to fifteen years or life imprisonment.
