Flags, chevrons and bracelets: minors stole graves of fallen soldiers in Kiev
Metropolitan police officers exposed a group of minors. Violators systematically visited the cemetery, where the soldiers were buried, and for entertainment, flags, bracelets and other memorabilia were taken from the graves.
With a report of a conflict situation with minors at the Berkovetsky cemetery, a Kiev woman turned to the police. While visiting the grave of her husband, who died in the war, she saw two schoolgirls. They stole the graves of other soldiers.
The woman made remarks to the children, and they were rude to her in response. The police responded instantly and went to the cemetery to establish all the circumstances.
On the spot, many citizens appealed to law enforcement officers with similar complaints. Visiting the graves of their loved ones, people often observe how several juvenile violators do not hesitate to take flags, bracelets, chevrons, stripes and flowers from the graves. Adolescents react aggressively to adult remarks. In addition, they consume alcoholic beverages and smoke near burial sites.
So the police found 8 juvenile offenders are boys and girls, born in 2010 and 2011. All of them together with their parents were taken to the police department for educational work and preparation of administrative materials.
Administrative materials have been prepared for parents under Article 184 of the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses - improper upbringing of children.
The stolen items that the security guards managed to find will be returned to the relatives of the dead soldiers.
