Officials of Kyivvodokanal are suspected of appropriating budget funds during the purchase of pumps
In order to allocate budget funds, the officials secured the victory in the tender for the purchase of deep pumps to the controlled company. In the future, they concluded a corresponding agreement with him, despite the fact that the company offered prices much higher than the market ones. The difference in the value, which reaches two million hryvnias, was distributed among the participants of the transaction.
Operatives of the Strategic Investigations Directorate in the city exposed the illegal scheme. Kyiv, investigators of the Investigative Department of the Metropolitan Police together with the Kyiv City Prosecutor's Office. Kyivvodokanal officials and the head of the company are involved in its organization.
On the basis of the collected evidence, two officials of Kyivvodokanal were informed of suspicions under Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, and to the head of the company — according to Part 5 of Article 27, Part 5 of Art. 191 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
For the appropriation, squandering of property or possession of it by abuse of official position, the current legislation provides for liability in the form of imprisonment for a period of seven to twelve years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years and with confiscation of property.
