More than 3.5 thousand applications were submitted by volunteers to join the “Steel Border” unit
Colonel Valery Paditel, the commander of the 15th mobile border detachment “Steel Border”, announced this at the “Unified News” tele-marathon today.
He noted that the basis of this unit are patriots who want to take part in the liberation of our state from the Russian invaders. The set is passed through CNAPs collection centers throughout Ukraine. Now the backbone of the “Steel Border” is made up of servicemen of the State Border Service, who took direct part in the battles in the Bakhmut, Lyman directions and in the defense of Azovstal.
“These people are motivated, people are ready to perform tasks, and we accept such people into the ranks of the “Steel Border”, - he stressed.
He added that the conditions of admission are the same as for all 8 units of the “Guard of Offensive”. This is primarily the age — from 18 to 60 years, state of health, occupational and psychological state, certificate of non-criminal record.
Valery Paditel also noted that the conditions of admission for both boys and girls are the same and are defined by regulatory documents. So girls can also join the ranks of the “Steel Border”.
“A year of war, a time to return your own and drive out the enemy. This year we have to go to the borders, ensure the security and integrity of these borders,” Valeriy Paditel said.
