Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Kateryna Pavlichenko said this:

“Completed together with EUAM Ukraine and the European Gendarmerie Force training for the personnel of the National Police and the National Guard. More than 160 police officers and guards became instructors on tactics for conducting stabilization actions in de-occupied areas. In the future, they will be able to train about 40 thousand law enforcement officers and military who will be able to carry out tasks in the liberated territories.”

Ekaterina Pavlichenko noted that such trainings are important, because it is a continuation of cooperation with the European gendarmerie forces. And such cooperation will only intensify, given the recently submitted application by the Ministry for the acquisition of the NGO “Observer” status in this organization. This is an important aspect of interaction on our European integration path.

The visit of the High Representative of the EU, Josep Borrel, to the base of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine last month underlined the European Union's attention to strengthening the capabilities of the Ukrainian security and defense forces.

It is also about the formation of the personnel potential of our units working in the front-line and de-occupied territories.

“I am grateful to our partners from the EU Consultative Mission, who help to organize such trainings,” said Deputy Minister Kateryna Pavlichenko.
