The police of the Kherson region was headed by Igor Korol
Today, February 12, the Minister of Internal Affairs Denis Monastyrsky and the head of the National Police Igor Klymenko presented a new head to the personnel of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Kherson region. He was police colonel Igor Korol.
Prior to that, Igor Korol held the position of deputy head of the GUNP in the Poltava region - the head of the criminal police.
The presentation took place within the framework of the working visit of the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police to Kherson region to participate in tactical and special training of employees of the system of internal affairs bodies of Ukraine.
The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs stressed the need to quickly establish cooperation with representatives of local authorities and continue implementation of important projects in the region.
Also Denis Monastyrsky thanked the previous head of the GUNP in the Kherson region Alexander Prokudin for 2.5 years of police management.
In his turn, Police Colonel Oleksandr Prokudin expressed his gratitude to the leadership of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the National Police for the evaluation of the work, as well as the team, with which he made a lot of efforts to implement the project of safe space and quality police service in the region.
The head of the National Police Igor Klymenko named the main tasks facing the newly appointed head of police of the region. Among them are strengthening the trust of the population in each police officer and the entire system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, observance of human rights and freedoms, improvement of the state of response to reports of crimes and offenses. In addition, Igor Klymenko stressed the importance of ensuring prompt and high-quality response to security challenges and stability in the region bordering the temporarily occupied territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, as well as strengthening the fight against crime.
“The task of each head of the territorial police unit is to ensure stability in this difficult and strategically important region. Everyone should feel safe and, as a result, the work of the police officers of the Kherson region should be highly appreciated by citizens,” the head of the NPU stressed.
Igor Korol noted that he will make every effort to implement the tasks and solve the problems that most concern the residents of the region.
