Police uncovered drug distribution scheme in clothing parcels
The total value of the extracted substances, at black market prices, is more than one million hryvnias.
Law enforcement officers of the Buchansky Police Department of Kyiv region, together with employees of the Department for Combating Drug Crimes of the National Police of Ukraine, have exposed a 23-year-old resident of the village of Blystavytsya. The attacker carried amphetamine and alpha-PvP psychotropics in the box.
The packaged substances were disguised as a parcel of clothing. It is established that the man is the courier of an Internet account that sells drugs.
During an urgent search, in his apartment, the police found a considerable amount of substances: more than a kilogram of amphetamine, 500 grams of “Alpha-PvP”, the drug “mephedrone”, as well as devices for measuring and packaging the forbidden. On the same day, law enforcement officers discovered another drug dealer - also in the packages with clothes, a 32-year-old drug dealer carried about 100 grams of amphetamine and 6 grams of the psychotropic substance “Alpha-PvP”.
The total value of what was seized from both attackers, at black market prices, is more than a million hryvnias. Both defendants were placed in a temporary detention center by the police.
Both face up to 12 years in prison.
