“Northern Storm 2022” — guards and border guards strengthen security at the border with the Republic of Belarus
The National Guard of Ukraine, the State Border Guard Service and other units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, together with the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, are conducting an active phase of the exercises “Northern Storm 2022” in the areas bordering the Republic of Belarus.
Law enforcement officers and military practice the tasks of engineering arrangement of defensive positions and mining the territory. The units jointly train to carry out the liberation and clearing of areas from enemy forces, as well as practice the detection, blocking and liquidation of armed formations and DRG.
Defenders of Ukraine continuously improve their combat skills and increase their combat readiness in order to give a decent rebuff to the aggressor if necessary.
Captain Roman Sidorchuk, an officer of one of the units of the NGU, told about the progress of the exercises in Volyn:
Recall: in Zhytomyr region, Rivne region and Volyn, tactical and special training of units of NGU, DPSU, NPU and TRO “Northern Storm - 2022" began. Such training is necessary to maintain the combat capability of units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in areas of responsibility and combat coordination with the forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces.
