Pistols, grenade launchers, explosive devices: in Kyiv region the National Police detained the seller of weapons
Yesterday, June 14, operatives of the Department of Strategic Investigations and investigators of the Main Investigative Department of the National Police of Ukraine conducted the third stage of the special operation.
Information about the sale of weapons was received by the police during the activities to identify persons involved in illegal operations with weapons. As later established by law enforcement officers, a resident of the Kiev region established the sale of weapons, ammunition and explosives.
Among the “assortment” — cartridges of various calibers, grenades, pistols, automatic rifles. So, the cost of grenades was 100 US dollars, pistols - from 700 to 1000 US dollars, automatic machines - from 1200 to 1700 US dollars, a grenade launcher could be purchased for 500 US dollars, and a shot to it for 250.
On June 14, DSR operatives and CSU investigators conducted the third stage of the special operation and detained the attacker during the sale of weapons in accordance with Article 208 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine. He sold a grenade launcher and shot at him, grenades, cartridges. Within the framework of criminal proceedings, during the two stages of the special operation, the facts of the sale of weapons totalling UAH 142 thousand were documented.
During the searches, they seized automatic rifles, a machine gun and 500 rounds to it, grenades, a grenade launcher, 1,668 rounds of various calibers, as well as funds received from the sale of weapons.
The issue of notifying the detainee of suspicion under Article 263 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine and the choice of preventive measures is resolved.
The pre-trial investigation continues, the origin of the seized weapons and the persons who may also be involved in illegal activities are established. Procedural guidance in criminal proceedings is carried out by the Office of the Prosecutor General. Exposure and documentation activities were carried out jointly with one of the special services.
For illegal handling of weapons, ammunition or explosives, liability in the form of imprisonment for a period of three to seven years is provided.
