Firefighters of the State Emergency Service received 100 new cars
Ukrainian emergency workers received 100 vehicles from the Government of South Korea, which will be used in the pyrotechnic units of the State Emergency Service.
Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Bogdan Drapyaty thanked the people of the Republic of Korea for the assistance provided to Ukraine:
“All our workers, the whole Ukrainian people are making every effort to win the victory of our state as soon as possible. And here we are not alone, we are with you - with international partners. Thank you for the support that you and the whole world are giving to our country.”
After the transfer ceremony, the Korean delegation inspected the “Point of Inviolability” and the damaged protective equipment of the pyrotechnics due to Russian aggression.
“The Korean government supports Ukraine, both morally and materially. Last year, the Korean government provided Ukraine with $100 million in humanitarian aid. And this year it also plans to allocate 130 million dollars for humanitarian assistance to Ukraine,” said Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Ukraine Kim Hyong Te.
In addition, the SNSS workers demonstrated the equipment used for demining and outlined what Ukrainian emergency workers need at the moment.
“We will take into account what technical support is needed in the field of humanitarian demining. We will make every effort to increase our support to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine and all bodies subordinate to it,” the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea stressed.
At the end of the event, the Korean side handed over a certificate to receive 100 cars.
“The cars will be distributed in the regions of Ukraine. Most of them will go to regions where active hostilities are taking place, and where we use resources for pyrotechnic units for demining,” said Serhiy Kruk, head of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
Over time, the received cars will be completed with specialized equipment.
