A supporter of “Russian peace” created a chat for a limited circle in the mobile application “Viber”. Since the beginning of last year, the Kharkiv citizen began to actively support the actions of the aggressor state. The man systematically expressed a negative attitude towards the current Ukrainian authorities and promoted the views and ideas of the Russian regime.

Law enforcement officers conducted an authorized search of the 58-year-old defendant's residence and seized a mobile phone with relevant posts, as well as SIM cards of various operators.

On February 15, the man was reported on suspicion of committing the crime provided for in Part 1 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of lawful, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The suspect faces punishment in the form of imprisonment for up to three years. The attacker already has two suspicions and is being held in detention.

Recall that in December last year, the investigator of the Kharkiv RUP No. 1 sent to the court an indictment accusing the man of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition as legitimate, denial of armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants) Criminal Code of Ukraine.

In January, the attacker was informed of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 114-2 (unauthorized dissemination of information about the direction, movement of weapons, weapons and combat supplies to Ukraine, movement, movement, movement or deployment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine or other military formations formed in accordance with the laws of Ukraine, committed in conditions of war martial law or state of emergency) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.
