Supported the occupation of Ukraine: regular collaborators were exposed in Kharkiv region

On November 27 last year, the police department No. 1 of the Kharkiv district police department No. 1 of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region received a message that a 42-year-old Kharkiv resident actively supports the occupiers in the station building.

The man considered legitimate a “special military operation” and the temporary occupation of the territories of Ukraine.

The sector of inquiry of the police department on this fact opened criminal proceedings under Part 1 of Art. 111-1 (Collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The offender is notified of the suspicion of committing the specified crime.

Another collaborator during the temporary occupation of the village of Shevchenkove, Kupyansk district, held the position of “Acting Head of the Local History Museum”.

The man ensured the activities of the museum and maintained order in the museum premises for its proper functioning.

The investigators of the Kupyansk district police department of the GUNP in the Kharkiv region under the procedural leadership of the Kupyansk district prosecutor's office of the Kharkiv region informed the 43-year-old man about the suspicion of committing a crime stipulated in Part 2 of Article 111-1 (collaborative activity) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

The sanction of the article provides for the deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for a period of 10 to 15 years with or without confiscation of property.
