Forged diplomas and documents for men to travel abroad: offenders will be tried in Kyiv region

The capital's law enforcement officers sent to court an indictment against members of an organized crime group who forged diplomas and documents to send men abroad.

Organized a “business” repeatedly convicted of falsifying documents by a Kiev resident and his roommate. Several more residents of Kyiv region were involved in the “work”. Forged documents were produced using special equipment. “Pibrobka” allowed servicemen to go abroad without hindrance.

In addition, the attackers produced fictitious diplomas of educational institutions with holographic elements and prints of the seals of the respective institutions. One of the members of the group created and managed several web resources for the sale of “products” on the territory of Ukraine.

Law enforcement officers conducted more than 30 searches. Computer equipment, documents and special equipment that was used in illegal activities, in particular - more than 3 thousand fake seals and clichés were seized.

The pre-trial investigation is completed. The indictment is referred to the court under Part 3 of Art. 199 (Manufacture, storage, acquisition, transportation, shipment, import into Ukraine for the purpose of using in the sale of goods, sale or sale of counterfeit money, state securities existing in paper form, state lottery tickets, excise tax stamps or holographic protective elements, committed organized group); part 3 of Art. 358 (Forgery of documents, seals, stamps and forms, sale or use of forged documents, seals, stamps, committed by an organized group) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Violators face up to twelve years in prison with confiscation of property.
