Two years ago, on February 24, 2022, the Russian army launched a full-scale offensive on Ukraine. However, on the first day we suffered considerable losses, thanks to our defenders.
Already on February 24, 2022, the soldiers of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine captured the first occupiers. This happened in the city of Schastya, where street fighting was already underway. A group of fighters of the Luhansk detachment under the leadership of Hero of Ukraine Staff Sergeant Dmitry Kushnir captured four occupiers.
Then the border guards shot down one infantry fighting vehicle from the RPG-17. The mechanic driver survived and tried to join the crew of another BMW, but was captured along with three occupants from the surviving car. All are local collaborators who joined the occupation army.
