“Passport Service” in test mode started working in Spain
To improve the living conditions of our citizens, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expands the geography of providing services of SE “Dokument”. In the Spanish city of Valencia, specially equipped white minibuses with the symbol “Passport Service” begin their work in a test mode.
After the start of a full-scale war in Ukraine, according to the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, more than 170,000 Ukrainian refugees found their temporary protection in Spain.
To improve the living conditions of our citizens, the State Migration Service of Ukraine, in cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, expands the geography of providing services of SE “Dokument”. So already today in the Spanish city of Valencia, specially equipped white minibuses with the symbol “Passport Service” begin their work in test mode. Thanks to them, Ukrainians will be able to issue the necessary passport documents, which will make it possible to receive financial and humanitarian assistance, study in local educational institutions and freely cross the borders of other countries.
Mobile complexes are located at: Xàtiva, 46007 Valencia, Spain.
Opening hours of the center: Monday - Saturday, from 9:00 to 18:00.
The service of visitors in Valencia for the period of technical start is carried out on a “live line”. Registration to the electronic queue will be carried out after successful testing of the systems, which will be further reported on the official website of the State Enterprise “Document”.
Currently, citizens of Ukraine can receive from the city. Valencia offers the following services:
- registration of an ID card or passport (including in place of a lost or stolen one);
- exchange of ID-card or passport (due to expiration, change of information, unsuitability);
- exchange of a 1994 sample passport for an ID-card (on request or in case of invalidity);
- simultaneous registration of a passport and ID-card;
- insurance.
Also, later, a driver's license exchange service will be available, the launch of which will be announced additionally.
Please note that as of April 27, 2023, the State Enterprise “Document” does not have the authority to issue documents for citizens who have gone abroad for permanent residence and have the appropriate mark in the passport. Their issues are dealt with exclusively in foreign diplomatic institutions.
In addition to Spain, Passport Service units are already available in four Polish cities (Warsaw, Krakow, Gdańsk and Wroclaw), Turkey (Istanbul), Slovakia (Bratislava), Czech Republic (Prague) and two German cities (Cologne and Bern) Lin).
