This was emphasized by the Director of the Department of Education, Science and Sports of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine during a joint meeting with the vice-rectors of the scientific direction of higher education institutions with specific conditions of training of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Emergency Service and Higher Military Educational Institutions of the State Technical Service of Ukraine, NGU.

In modern conditions, when security becomes one of the most important components of society, the role of science in the activities of law enforcement agencies takes on special importance and responsibility.

“Science is the basis for the development and implementation of the latest technologies that ensure high efficiency in the protection of national security and the ability to adapt to changing conditions. It allows you to develop strategies and tactics of action, as well as predict risks, which is extremely important in wartime. Our goal is to bring the educational process as close as possible to practice and prepare young people for the challenges they will have to face in the service during and after the war. We cannot afford the implementation of non-topical scientific research, as well as those that do not bring practical results,” Oleksandr Tarasenko stressed.

In addition, no less relevant issues related to scientific activity in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs were discussed. First of all, it is the organization of events for young scientists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as well as international educational and scientific activities, which are a tool for attracting international investments in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. Considerable attention was paid to the modernization of libraries.
In wartime, when the situation in a country can be unpredictable, preservation and access to knowledge becomes a critical necessity. This is especially important for military educational institutions, where education and training of the country's future defenders is a priority, and access to specialized literature and analytical materials may be limited due to the security situation.

“We will modernize libraries in line with global trends, digitizing those areas that are not subject to restrictive columns and accumulating a base of special, limited literature. The experience of our university proves that it is very painful to lose the multi-thousand fund that generations collect. And it is even more difficult to renew it,” said the first vice-rector of Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs Yehor Nazimko.

The meeting was not only a platform for discussing topical issues of scientific activity in the system of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but also a demonstration of the importance of cooperation between science and practice in ensuring the security and stability of society.
