The head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky visited the first foreign division of SE “Dokument”
The first separate division of SE “Dokument”, which belongs to the sphere of management of the State Migration Service of Ukraine, was opened in Warsaw and started its work on July 01, 2022. It functions within the framework of an experimental project to issue a passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport of a citizen of Ukraine to travel abroad for Ukrainian citizens who have left and are outside Ukraine as a result of Russia's full-scale war against our state.
“Fast, comfortable, customer-oriented — this is how this center works. The Ministry of Internal Affairs has implemented an unprecedented decision that will greatly facilitate the lives of millions of Ukrainians,” the Minister stressed.
The project was developed and proposed for consideration by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Migration Service of Ukraine. The premises for the office of this detached unit in Warsaw were provided by the Polish side, for which we are very grateful.
This experimental project according to the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dated June 10, 2022 is designed for two years.
“Ukrainian citizens who were forced to leave Ukraine due to full-scale Russian aggression can apply to this office in order to issue (exchange an expired) passport of a citizen of Ukraine and a passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad, including instead of lost or stolen,” the Minister of Internal Affairs noted in Ukraine Denis Monastyrsky.
He added that it was natural that such an office was opened in Poland, which currently hosts the largest number of Ukrainian refugees. “We support and protect the rights of our citizens wherever they are. Because our people are our greatest value,” the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs summed up.
