Our heroes: Kharkiv police officer rescued couple from burning house after enemy shelling
Vitaly Zozulya noticed movement under the apartment of a high-rise building, which was hit by an enemy shell. The fire spread, so the police rushed to help. And he managed to first bring out the woman, and later save her husband.
In wartime conditions, Kharkiv police officers work in extremely difficult conditions. The situation in Kharkiv requires law enforcement officers endurance, moral stability, the ability to quickly respond to the situation and make non-standard decisions. Kharkiv and the territorial communities of the region are under constant rocket and artillery shelling.
The city heroically resists the armed aggression of Russia. The enemy fails to break the people and their resistance, so the occupiers can only randomly shell peaceful cities.
In Kharkiv, there are areas that most felt the destructive power of the “Russian measure”.
One of these residential areas is Saltovka. Almost all of the high-rise buildings in this once quiet, green area have been destroyed by enemy shells. Because of the constant shelling, fires often occur here. So it was on April 25: the enemy marched in the peaceful quarter in the morning. The shell hit the apartment of a residential building on Valentinovskaya Street. A fire broke out on the fourth floor. There, the senior district police officer of the Kharkiv regional police department №3 Vitaly Zozulya was nearby. He heard a loud explosion, followed by people screaming for help.
Without wasting time, the policeman rushed into the house. Quickly climbed into the accommodation. At first, he led a woman out of the burning apartment, and later found an elderly man in a remote room who could barely move. Risking his own life, the officer rescued helpless people from a fire trap.
A person does not plan in advance a heroic act or feat. She works hard, honestly performs her duties, plans the next day. But there comes a moment that decides someone's fate, and in a matter of minutes people's lives depend on its determination. It was at such a crucial moment that police officer Vitaly Zozulya showed
courage and courage.
After a while, the policeman met with the people he saved and made sure that they were all right. Now the blue-yellow ribbon donated by them will forever be a talisman for Vitaly.
