This will significantly speed up the process of identifying those killed as a result of hostilities. The head of the National Police of Ukraine Igor Klymenko stressed this on the air of the “Unified News” tele-marathon, talking about the discovery in the de-occupied territories of the bodies of those killed as a result of the Russian invasion.

“In total, about 1,600 bodies of Ukrainians have been found. Some of them have not yet been identified. Therefore, I ask the direct relatives of the missing or the dead to come to the police and pass a DNA test so that we can speed up this work,” the head of the National Police said.

He stressed that the forensic officers of the National Police showed their effectiveness during their work at the sites of enemy rocket attacks in Kremenchug and Vinnitsa, where many people were killed and injured:

“Thanks to the technology we received from foreign partners, and these are two mobile DNA laboratories, we carry out such tests on the spot and establish the identities of the dead,” said Igor Klymenko.

The head of the NPU also said that soon the American side will transfer 26 more such DNA laboratories to the National Police of Ukraine.
